His clothes were in tatters. Chokiuka seemed oblivious to the cold wind that blew through his tattered clothing. He gave all appearances of a common street beggar. When he was thrown at the feet of the emperor he proved to be much more. When asked who he was Chokiuka replied he was a Taoist Sage. The Emperor laughed at this. Upon seeing his disbelief Chokiuka took a piece of his clothing and transformed them into butterflies. Chokiuka lived in the Keireki period under the So’ dynasty.
